On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, the Kaibab National Forest will once again reduce the forest closure, reopening just over 7,000 additional acres of forest lands west of Highway 67 in the Murray Lake area where the Dragon Bravo Fire Incident Command Post was located.

National Forest System Road (NFSR) 354 is closed for public safety due to flood damage and washed-out sections of the road, which lies on portions of the Prescott and Kaibab National Forests.

Big Springs has reopened for reservations for stays August 28, 2025 - October 13, 2025, with a 2-night minimum stay required. Visitors are advised to be aware of traffic and other activities associated with the Dragon Bravo and White Sage fires, as well as to stay up to date on current closures on the North Kaibab and surrounding lands.
