Air Quality Alert issued June 29 at 11:23AM MST by NWS Flagstaff AZ
The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has issued an Ozone High Pollution Advisory for Flagstaff on Monday and Tuesday due to the influence of the Pocket Fire. This means that forecast weather conditions combined with existing ozone levels are expected to result in local maximum 8-hour ozone concentrations that pose a health risk. Adverse health effects increase as air quality deteriorates. Ozone is an air contaminant which can cause breathing difficulties for children, older adults, as well as persons with respiratory problems. A decrease in physical activity is recommended. You are urged to car pool, telecommute, or use mass transit. The use of gasoline-powered equipment should be reduced or done late in the day. For details on this High Pollution Advisory, visit the ADEQ internet site at www.azdeq.gov/forecast/flagstaff or call 602-771-2300.

About
Kaibab Lake Campground occupies a scenic location in Kaibab National Forest at 6,800 feet elevation, where ponderosa pines and grasslands surround a popular fishing lake. The campground serves as a convenient base for exploring Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim, located about 60 miles north, as well as the historic towns of Williams and Flagstaff. The facility offers individual, double, and group campsites equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings. Vault toilets, potable water, and trash service are provided, though water supply is limited and RV tanks cannot be filled on-site. There are no hookups or dump station. Sites accommodate tents, trailers, and motorhomes up to 40 feet. Recreation centers on the lake, which features an accessible fishing pier and small boat ramp. Only electric or gas motors of 10 HP or less are permitted, and swimming is prohibited. A nature trail winds through the facility. Summer temperatures range from 50 degrees at night to 80-90 degrees during the day, with afternoon thunderstorms common in July and August.
