About

Rim Campground is situated close to the edge of the Mogollon Rim in Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, where spectacular 100-mile views can be seen from many vantage points along the rim. The campground is surrounded by ponderosa pines and located in an area that is relatively flat, making it accessible for various camping setups. The area is frequented by deer and elk, and visitors occasionally catch a glimpse of black bear. The campground has 26 sites arranged in two loops of 13 sites each. Sites 14 through 26 are available for advance reservation, while sites 1-13 are first-come, first-served. All sites provide approximately 40 feet of parallel parking without spurs, accommodating tents, pop-up campers, and short trailers or motorhomes. Each campsite includes a campfire ring with grill and picnic table. Fishing and boating are available at Woods Canyon Lake, approximately 3 miles from the campground. The Marina Store at Woods Canyon Lake offers groceries, camping and fishing equipment, state fishing licenses, and boat and kayak rentals. Woods Canyon Lake is one of Arizona's premier trout fisheries, making this campground an ideal base for anglers.
