About

Canyon Vista Campground is located 6 miles southeast of Flagstaff along Lake Mary Road, near Walnut Canyon and Lower Lake Mary. At an elevation of 6,826 feet, the campground sits within a diverse forest of ponderosa pine, mixed conifer, aspen, and oak, offering excellent photo opportunities and views of the San Francisco Peaks. The campground features 14 single-unit sites, each equipped with a fire ring, cooking grill, and picnic table. All sites are available through a combination of reservations via Recreation.gov and first-come, first-served basis. The campground offers potable water and vault toilets. Motor homes and trailers over 40 feet are not permitted, and there are no utility hookups available. Recreation opportunities include hiking on the nearby Sandy Canyon and Arizona Trail systems, wildlife viewing, and scenic photography. A camp host is onsite during the operating season, and firewood and ice are available for purchase. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and a 14-day stay limit within any consecutive 30-day period applies.
