At 645 PM MST, Heavy rain has ended. Earlier in the afternoon radar estimated that from 0.25 to 0.75 inches fell over the area in less than 30 minutes. As a result, flash flooding along Bright Angel Creek in the area of Phantom Ranch and the Transept was observed. Heavy creek flow is ongoing. An air evacuation was conducted of approximately 50 individuals from the Phantom Ranch area. Kaibab Trail and Phantom Ranch are closed until further notice. HAZARD...Flash flooding in and around the Bright Angel Creek Basin below the Dragon Bravo Fire scar. SOURCE...Radar indicated. Ribbon Falls, Bright Angel Campground, North Rim Campground, Cottonwood Campground, Clear Creek Camp Site, Upper Cremation Camp Site, Lower Cremation Camp Site, Roy's Beach Camp Site, Boat Beach Camp Site, Crystal Camp Site, Ego Beach Camp Site, Above Tuna Creek Camp Site, Above Tuna Rapids Camp Site, Manzanita Rest Area and Roaring Springs. This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers... Nankoweap Canyon, Crystal Creek, Lava Canyon, Tuna Creek, Unkar Creek, Slate Creek, Colorado River, Zoroaster Canyon, Clear Creek, Kwagunt Creek, South Canyon, Shinumo Creek, North Canyon and Bright Angel Creek.

Coconino County in north central Arizona...the Colorado River near mile marker 62. * Until 1215 AM MST /115 AM MDT/ Tonight. * At 522 PM MST /622 PM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that produced heavy rain earlier southwest of Cameron have resulted in a flash flood along the Little Colorado River west of Cameron. Between 1 and 2 inches were estimate by radar earlier in the afternoon. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. The flood wave is expected to reach the Colorado River between 10 PM and 1 AM. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain from thunderstorms earlier. SOURCE...Radar indicated.
