About
Lakeview Campground is a tent camper's paradise tucked into a terraced hillside among old-growth ponderosa pines in the Coconino National Forest. Located 13 miles southeast of Flagstaff along Lake Mary Road, the campground provides easy access to Upper and Lower Lake Mary. The woodland setting features gravel roads and gentle hillsides with scenic glimpses of the lake through abundant pine trees. The campground offers 30 single-unit sites split evenly between reservable and first-come-first-served. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and cooking grill. Three accessible vault toilets and potable water are available throughout the campground. A camp host is on-site during the operating season. Tents and small motorhomes are welcome, with some sites accommodating RVs and trailers under 28 feet. Wildlife watching is a highlight, with visitors regularly spotting bald eagles, osprey, great blue herons, migratory waterfowl, elk, and mule deer. The Wood Memorial Trail connects the campground to the Lake Mary Narrows Picnic Area, providing universal-access fishing. Lake Mary offers kayaking, paddle boarding, and boating opportunities.
