About
Mogollon Campground is a forested retreat in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, nestled among ponderosa pines near the iconic Mogollon Rim. Located just two miles from Woods Canyon Lake, the campground offers convenient access to excellent fishing and boating, with a marina store nearby that provides boat and kayak rentals, fishing licenses, and basic groceries. The campground features 26 sites across two loops, with sites 1-13 available first-come, first-served and sites 14-26 reservable through Recreation.gov. Each site includes a fire ring with grill and picnic table, with approximately 40 feet of parallel parking space suitable for tents, pop-up campers, and small trailers or motorhomes. Note that there are no parking spurs, so RVs with left-side slideouts are not recommended. Amenities include accessible vault toilets, potable drinking water, and trash service. A camp host is on-site during the operating season. The Rim Lakes Vista Trail, offering spectacular views of the Mogollon Rim, has its trailhead adjacent to the campground restroom.
