Ten-X Group Campground is part of the expanded Tusayan-Montane Campground (formerly Ten-X Campground) in Kaibab National Forest's Tusayan Ranger District, located within the Baaj Nwaavjo I'tah Kukveni Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument. The group campground offers two separate sites: Group Site A accommodates up to 75 people with a limit of 15 vehicles, while Group Site B accommodates up to 50 people. Groups larger than 75 can reserve both sites together. Each group site features picnic shelters, tables, tent pads, fire pits, and grills. Situated in a pleasant ponderosa pine and Gambel oak forest at 6,600 feet elevation on the Colorado Plateau, the campground is located just 4 miles south of Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim entrance and 2 miles south of the town of Tusayan. The facility provides vault toilets and potable water, though there are no utility hookups, showers, or laundry facilities. A 3-mile loop trail and shorter nature walks allow visitors to explore the ponderosa pine forest and observe local flora and fauna. The campground is accessible via U.S. Highway 180/State Highway 64, making it an ideal base camp for groups visiting the Grand Canyon. Summer temperatures range from 50 degrees at night to 80-90 degrees during the day, with afternoon thunderstorms common during monsoon season in July and August. Snow is common from December through March. Reservations are made through Recreation.gov, and check-in is between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., with checkout at noon.

Directions

Located 2 miles south of Tusayan and 47 miles north of Williams on U.S. Highway 180/State Highway 64. From Williams, take Highway 64 north; the campground is on the right just before Tusayan. The campground is approximately 4 miles south of Grand Canyon National Park's South Rim entrance.
