About
Pinegrove Campground occupies a scenic location in the ponderosa pine forest of Coconino National Forest at 6,908 feet elevation. Located 17 miles south of Flagstaff on Lake Mary Road, the campground provides easy access to multiple recreation lakes in the area. The 46 spacious single-unit sites include 24 reservable through Recreation.gov and 22 available first-come, first-served. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and cooking grill. The campground is well-equipped for a national forest facility, featuring coin-operated showers, vault toilets (16 sites are fully ADA accessible), potable water for registered campers, and a free RV dump station. Trailers up to 33 feet and motorhomes up to 45 feet are accommodated. No hookups are available. Nearby Upper and Lower Lake Mary, Ashurst Lake, Marshall Lake, and Kinnikinick Lake serve as the recreational hub for campers. All are stocked with trout, bass, and channel catfish. Upper Lake Mary is popular with power boaters while Ashurst Lake attracts windsurfers. Several hiking and biking trails are within a short drive, and wildlife viewing opportunities include migrating waterfowl, bald eagles, ospreys, elk, and mule deer.
Directions
From Flagstaff, Arizona, go southeast on Lake Mary Road (Forest Highway 3) for approximately 17 miles. Access to the campground is via a short spur off Lake Mary Road.
