About

Pinegrove Campground sits in the lush Coconino National Forest of northern Arizona, offering 46 spacious individual sites spread through a cool stand of ponderosa pines bordered by high country meadows. Located at 6,905 feet elevation, the campground provides access to countless recreation opportunities in a stunning landscape. Nearby Upper and Lower Lake Mary, Ashurst, Marshall and Kinnikinick Lakes serve as the recreational focus for this campground. All are stocked with fish including trout, bass and channel catfish. Upper Lake Mary is popular with power boaters, and Ashurst attracts windsurfers along with anglers and boaters. The campground is approximately 20 miles southeast of Flagstaff via Lake Mary Road, with access via a short spur road. The area is used as a stopover for migrating waterfowl, a wintering site for bald eagles, and a feeding ground for resident ospreys. The surrounding forest is home to considerable numbers of elk and mule deer. Several excellent hiking and biking trails are located within a short drive, and the campground provides coin-operated showers, flush toilets, drinking water, picnic tables, campfire rings, and cooking grills at each site.

Directions

From Flagstaff, go southeast on Lake Mary Road/Forest Highway 3. Travel on Lake Mary Road for 19 miles. Access to the campground is via a short spur off of Lake Mary Road.
