About
Blue Ridge Campground is a quiet retreat nestled in the Coconino National Forest at 6,929 feet elevation, approximately 5 miles north of C.C. Cragin (Blue Ridge) Reservoir as the crow flies. The campground is situated in dramatic canyon-carved uplands blanketed with tall ponderosa pines, offering a tranquil escape with scenic canyon views. The small campground provides a peaceful atmosphere for campers seeking to disconnect and enjoy the natural beauty of the Mogollon Rim. The area offers plenty of recreational opportunities including mountain biking, hiking, wildlife watching, and sightseeing. The Arizona Trail passes through the region, and the nearby Blue Ridge Reservoir provides additional opportunities for fishing and water activities. Each campsite features a picnic table, fire ring, and cooking grill, though there are no utility hookups available. The campground's site pads were renovated using recycled car material, creating durable surfaces while promoting sustainability. Blue Ridge Campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations available. The campground enforces quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., prohibits generator use during quiet hours, and has a 14-day stay limit within a consecutive 30-day period. Pets are welcome but must be leashed or contained at all times. The location is relatively remote, situated about 40 miles southwest of Winslow, 50 miles northeast of Payson, and 70 miles southeast of Flagstaff.
