About

FR 9350 Campground offers rim-side dispersed camping along the dramatic Mogollon Rim Escarpment in Arizona's Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests. The area provides stunning overlook views from campsites perched near a 200-foot vertical drop. Due to these cliff-edge conditions, this camping area is explicitly not recommended for families with young children or anyone uncomfortable with heights. This is a primitive dispersed camping area with minimal amenities. A vault toilet is located at the entrance near the Carr Lake Trailhead, but no potable water is available. Campers must bring their own water and pack out all trash. The area is free to use on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-day stay limit per 30-day period. Access is via Forest Road 9350 off Forest Road 300. The campground is generally open from May through November, closing after the first measurable snowfall makes roads inaccessible. The Carr Lake Trail and other Mogollon Rim trails are nearby for hiking and horseback riding.
