Reservations are suspended for this campground for the 2026 season due to maintenance and needed upgrades to the water system that supplies drinking water and water for flush toilets. Plan for travel delays and chain controls. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heaviest snow expected Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning.

The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes, as well as the Wednesday morning commute.

Snow Grooming Updates
Updated 1/30/26:Be advised, many grooming routes have little or patchy snow with water crossing the trails. Some trails will not be groomed again until we get another good storm.

Highway 20 Area Camping Restrictions
To provide for public safety and to protect natural resources, the following acts are prohibited within the Tahoe National Forest.
14-day Camping Occupancy Restrictions
Camping on the Tahoe National Forest is limited to 14 days in a calendar year.
Hoke Valley- Forest Road 860-07 (17E11 Trail) Closed
Forest Road 860 -01 (17E11 Trail) in the Hoke Valley area has been closed to allow for Hoke Valley Meadow restoration.
SAFETY ALERT - South Antelope Bridge out, Do Not Cross
Damage to the underside of South Antelope Bridge on Ponderosa Way was discovered by Forest Service Road Crews. Engineering staff are currently assessing the damage.
Lassen National Forest Camping Restrictions
Forest Order No. 06-24-01 limits the number of days and individuals camping on the Lassen National Forest.
Lake Almanor Recreational Trail Restriction
Forest Order No. 06-24-03 limits the use of motor vehicles as well as saddle animals, pack animals, and draft animals, on the Lake Almanor Recreation Trail.
Lake Almanor Area Camping Restriction
Forest Order No. 06-24-02 limits camping in the Lake Almanor Overnight Use Closure Area.
