About

Red Bridge Campground is one of two free campgrounds managed by the Forest Service on the Mt. Hough Ranger District in Plumas National Forest. Located along the Middle Fork of the Feather River, the only federally designated Wild and Scenic River on the forest, the campground offers a scenic and remote camping experience. The campground features 5 campsites set up on both sides of the river, providing opportunities for riverside camping in a natural setting. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Basic facilities include 2 vault toilets, but there is no potable water available, so campers must bring an adequate supply. Located 7 miles south of Highway 70 on La Porte Road, the campground offers easy access from Quincy while maintaining a peaceful, undeveloped atmosphere typical of remote Forest Service campgrounds.

Directions

From Quincy, travel east on Highway 70. Turn south on La Porte Road and continue for 7 miles to the campground.
