Warner Creek Campground sits at 5,200 feet elevation in the Almanor Ranger District of Lassen National Forest, offering a peaceful retreat along the banks of Warner Creek. This developed campground features 13 designated campsites, each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. The campground operates on a first-come first-served basis with no advance reservations. The setting is forested and relatively quiet, appealing to campers seeking a low-key experience away from more popular destinations. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water on site, so visitors must bring their own supply. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 p.m. Access requires a short drive on gravel roads from Highway 36. The campground typically opens in May and closes in October, though exact dates vary with snowpack conditions. Pets are welcome but must remain leashed at all times.
Directions
From Chester, take State Route 36 west for 8.4 miles to the campground sign. Turn left onto Forest Route 29N03 and proceed 1.8 miles to the campground. The last 1.6 miles is gravel.
