The Heat Advisory will be allowed to expire at 10 PM this evening. Temperatures will cool by a few degrees on Monday, however widespread Moderate HeatRisk will continue. More noticeable cooling begins on Tuesday continuing through the rest of the week.

About
Soldier Meadows Campground is a developed Forest Service campground located in a scenic meadow along Soldier Creek in the Almanor Ranger District of Lassen National Forest. At 4,890 feet elevation, the campground offers 15 designated campsites nestled among pine and fir trees, each accommodating up to 8 people. Every site is equipped with a fire ring, grill, and picnic table. Vault toilets are provided but campers must bring their own drinking water as no potable water is available on site. The campground typically operates from May through October, weather permitting. Recreation opportunities include fishing in nearby Soldier Creek and OHV road riding in the surrounding forest. Quiet hours are observed from 10pm to 6am. Pets are welcome but must remain leashed or confined at all times.

From Highway 89, take Humboldt Road until you reach the intersection with 27N78. The campground is located off of 27N78.
