Tooms RV Campground is a developed Forest Service campground situated on Peninsula Road near Little Grass Valley Reservoir in Plumas National Forest. The campground provides 20 paved sites designed for RVs and trailers, each featuring a fire ring, picnic table, and paved parking pad. Amenities include potable water from faucets, vault toilets, and trash service. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations available. Maximum occupancy is 8 people and 2 vehicles per site, with a 14-day stay limit. An RV dump station is located nearby at Tooms Boat Launch. No hookups are available at any sites in the Little Grass Valley Recreation Area. Recreational opportunities abound, including fishing and water recreation on Little Grass Valley Reservoir, hiking the Lakeshore Trail that circles the reservoir, and nature viewing. Pancake Beach Day-use area is nearby for additional water access.
Directions
From the town of La Porte, travel approximately 2 miles on Main Street/Quincy La Porte Road. Continue forward on Little Grass Valley Road for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right on Peninsula Road. Tooms RV Campground is 0.5 mile from Little Grass Valley Road.
