About
Lone Rock Campground is one of three campgrounds in the Antelope Lake Recreation Area, nestled in the northern Sierra Nevada mountain range. The campground occupies a scenic peninsula on the northwest shore of the lake, with many sites offering direct lakefront access. Tall pine and fir trees provide ample shade throughout the 87-site facility, which accommodates both tents and RVs. The campground's primary draw is its proximity to Antelope Lake, a small remote lake with 15 miles of shoreline. Anglers can pursue trout, bass, and catfish, while other visitors enjoy swimming, water skiing, windsurfing, and boating. A car-top boat launch within the campground provides convenient lake access. The Sunset Point trail begins near the campground, and educational programs are offered at the on-site amphitheater. Each site includes a table and fire ring with grill. Vault toilets are provided, but potable water is not available on-site. Bears frequent the area, and food storage regulations are strictly enforced. Firewood is available for purchase from the campground host. The RV dump station is closed indefinitely.
