About

Domingo Springs Campground sits at 5,060 feet elevation in the Lassen National Forest, offering 18 designated campsites surrounded by forest. The area holds cultural significance as the local Maidu Indians referred to this location as the "center of the universe." Each campsite accommodates up to 8 people and 2 vehicles, with fire rings and picnic tables provided at every site. The campground provides basic but essential amenities including potable drinking water from faucets and vault toilets. Campfires are permitted only within the provided fire rings. Pets are welcome but must remain on leash at all times. Located just 8 miles northwest of Chester via Warner Valley/Old Bluff Road off Highway 36, the campground serves as an excellent base for PCT hikers, with the trail less than half a mile away. The typical operating season runs May through September, though dates may shift based on weather and conditions.

Directions

From Chester, turn from Highway 36 onto Warner Valley/Old Bluff Road and travel 8 miles northwest.
