About

Legacy Campground sits near the west shore of 28,000-acre Lake Almanor in Lassen National Forest at an elevation of approximately 4,500 feet. The 14-site developed campground is notable for offering water and electrical hookups at every site, making it well-suited for RV camping. Double site 11 features two sets of hookups for larger groups. An RV pay-per-use dump station is conveniently located adjacent to the campground. The Lake Almanor Recreation Trail can be accessed directly from the campground. This approximately 11-mile trail winds through the forest along the west shore of the lake, offering spectacular views of Lake Almanor, nearby Dyer Mountain, and Lassen Peak. The lake itself provides excellent opportunities for boating, swimming, water skiing, sailing, and fishing for trout, bass, salmon, and catfish.
