Long Point Campground is one of three campgrounds in the Antelope Lake Recreation Area, situated on the lake's southwestern side in Plumas National Forest. At an elevation of 5,000 feet in the northern Sierra Nevada, the campground offers 35 single sites and 3 double sites shaded by plentiful pine and fir trees, with many sites providing clear lake views. The campground's prime location on the lake makes it popular for bass fishing, with some sites positioned near shallow water ideal for wading and swimming, while others are near deeper water allowing visitors to anchor boats nearby. Antelope Lake, located about 30 miles northeast of Taylorsville, is one of the more remote and quiet lakes in the area, attracting anglers and outdoor enthusiasts seeking a peaceful mountain lake experience. Lost Cove boat ramp is located 2.5 miles away on the north side of the lake, providing access for sailing, motorized boating, and water skiing. The campground accommodates both tent and RV camping, with bear boxes provided at each site for food storage. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit. The remote location requires visitors to stock up on supplies in nearby communities such as Taylorsville, Greenville, Janesville, Milford, or Susanville before heading up to the lake. Firewood is available for purchase within the campground.

Directions

From Taylorsville, take County Road 112 (Antelope Lake Road) northeast for 23 miles to Antelope Lake. From Susanville, take the Janesville Grade 32 miles to the lake. The campground is located on the south side of Antelope Lake.
