About

Hallsted Campground sits at 2,300 feet elevation in the scenic Feather River Canyon along Highway 70 in Plumas National Forest. Shaded by large oaks and conifers, the campground features 20 single-family sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. Eight sites include electrical hookups, and four sites are universally accessible. A walking path leads from the campground to the North Fork Feather River, popular for fly fishing and swimming. The campground provides flush toilets and hot showers, making it one of the more comfortable options in the area. The nearby Feather River National Scenic Byway offers stunning views of the steeply carved river gorge and historic railroad system. A general store in Twain, less than half a mile away, provides convenient access to supplies, while Quincy, 17 miles east, offers additional services and fuel.
