Temporary Park Closure - August 7

The visitor center, caves, and cave access trail will be closed on August 7th for all employee meetings. The picnic areas and Swinging Bridge Nature Trail remain open.

Flooding and Snowpack Run-Off

Record snowpack across Utah has increased the potential for flooding and debris flows in the park. Visitors should be aware and watch for flooding and associated hazards in the park and canyon.

WNP Bookstore is Cashless

The Western National Parks (WNP) bookstore has moved to a cashless operation at Timpanogos Cave National Monument. Purchases can be made with credit and debit cards as well as contactless payment methods including Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay.

Tickets are required to enter Timpanogos Cave

Reservations are strongly recommended. Reservations are the only way to ensure a spot is available for your party. Please plan accordingly by visiting Recreation.gov to secure your tickets in advance. Availability of walk-up tickets is not guaranteed.

Heat Advisory

Heat illnesses can occur on the hiking trail. Always carry and drink plenty of water—at least 1 liter. Dehydration and heat illness can happen quickly, even on short hikes. Be prepared.

The National Forest will be conducting hazardous fuels reduction work in and around Granite Flat and Little Mill Campgrounds during the summer of 2026 to help reduce wildfire risk. Visitors may see crews working and hear chainsaws Monday–Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., though crews will avoid occupied campsites whenever possible. Work will include removing smaller trees and trimming larger ones, while preserving aspen stands to encourage healthy forest growth.
