About

Diamond Fork Group Sites Campground is located in the scenic Diamond Fork Canyon of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, positioned 2-3 miles beyond the main Diamond Campground. The campground offers 7 group sites varying in capacity from 25 to 125 people, making it ideal for large gatherings and group outings. Sites 1A and 1B are located about 2 miles beyond the family campground, while sites 3-6 are approximately a mile beyond that. Each group site features picnic shelters, multiple tables, campfire rings, grills, water spigots and ample parking areas to accommodate groups. The campground sits at an elevation of 5,200 feet along Diamond Fork Stream and Wanrhodes Creek, with cottonwoods and willows providing shade in some areas. Vault toilets and drinking water are available throughout the campground. The area offers excellent recreational opportunities including fishing for brown and cutthroat trout in the stream, hiking trails, and biking. The popular Fifth Water Hot Springs Trail begins nearby, rewarding hikers with a 2.5-mile trek to natural hot springs pools. Red Ledges Picnic Area with its distinctive red rock formations and Diamond Fork Arch is less than a mile away. The campground is easily accessible, located just 15-17 miles from Spanish Fork via Diamond Fork Canyon Road.

Directions

From I-15, take exit 258 and turn east toward Spanish Fork Canyon. Continue up Spanish Fork Canyon for about 9 miles to Forest Road 029/Diamond Fork Canyon. Turn left into Diamond Fork Canyon and travel 6 miles northeast to the main campground, then continue 2-3 miles further to reach the group sites.
