At 752 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking decaying thunderstorms along a line extending from 21 miles east of Green River to 7 miles northwest of Hite Marina. These storms will be capable of producing gusty outflow winds far away from precipitation. Movement was northwest at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Green River, Hanksville, Sunnyside, East Carbon, Goblin Valley, Elgin, and Woodside. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 between mile markers 107 and 162. US Route 6 between mile markers 261 and 300. Utah Route 24 between mile markers 99 and 160. Utah Route 95 between mile markers 0 and 36. Utah Route 276 between mile markers 0 and 5.

Diamond Fork Group Sites Campground is located among shady cottonwoods and willows at 5,200 feet elevation in Diamond Fork Canyon. The six group sites are situated 2-6 miles beyond the family campground, offering spacious areas for larger gatherings. Each site includes picnic shelters, tables, campfire rings, grills, and water spigots with large parking areas suitable for multiple vehicles. The campground sits along Diamond Fork Stream and nearby Wanrhodes Creek, which offer fishing for brown and cutthroat trout. An interpretive nature trail winds through the area along the stream. Popular nearby attractions include Red Ledges Picnic Area with its distinctive red rock formations including Diamond Fork Arch, and the Fifth Water Hot Springs with a 2.5-mile trail featuring several hot spring pools. Group site capacities range from 25 people (sites 1A and 1B at $65/night) up to 125 people (site 3 at $255/night), with medium-sized options for 75 people at $145/night. Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance through Recreation.gov. A 16-day stay limit applies.

Directions

From I-15 exit 258, travel east toward Spanish Fork Canyon approximately 9 miles. Turn left onto Forest Road 029/Diamond Fork Canyon and continue 6 miles northeast to the family campground. Group sites 1A and 1B are 2 miles beyond the family campground; sites 3-6 are an additional mile beyond that.
