About

Diamond Fork Guard Station is a historic USFS cabin built in 1933, nestled in Diamond Fork Canyon approximately 26 miles from Spanish Fork, Utah. This rustic rental offers an authentic backcountry lodging experience in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest with beds for 6 adults, a wood-burning stove for heat, a cooking stove, and a kitchen area with a dry sink. The cabin operates year-round with blackout periods from November 1 to December 15 and March 1 to April 15 when gates are closed due to snow access issues. A propane heater is available during winter months (December 15 through March 1). Guests must bring all water, firewood, toilet paper, flashlights, cooking supplies, and sleeping bags as there is no running water or electricity on-site. Indoor lighting must be battery-powered only. The guard station is located approximately four miles from Three Forks Trailhead with nearby stream fishing opportunities. Parking accommodates 2 vehicles and 1 utility trailer. Reservations are made directly through the Spanish Fork Ranger District, not through Recreation.gov.
