Tinney Flat Campground is located in scenic Santaquin Canyon, just 9 miles from Santaquin at an elevation of 7,000 feet. The campground is situated among a dense grove of cottonwood trees that provide ample shade and vibrant fall colors, with tall evergreens dotting the landscape. Summer wildflowers and wildlife are abundant throughout the area. Santaquin Creek runs alongside the campground, offering excellent rainbow trout fishing opportunities. White Pine Hollow and Calkens Hollow trails begin within the campground, providing access to hiking and wildlife viewing. The campground offers scenic views of the surrounding Wasatch Range and is adjacent to the Mount Nebo Wilderness Area, which features pristine waters, abundant wildlife, and numerous trail opportunities. The campground sits just off the Nebo Loop Scenic Byway, which stretches 37 miles through high alpine terrain, dense forests and colorful meadows. The access road through Santaquin Canyon is paved but steep and narrow. The campground includes 11 single sites, 2 double sites, and 3 group sites with picnic tables, fire grills, and vault toilets.

Directions

From I-15, take Santaquin exit 244. Go east under the freeway and turn south. Follow the road into Santaquin Canyon (Forest Road 014) for 6.5 miles to the campground. The road is paved but steep and narrow.
