A combination of dry and breezy conditions today will result in an elevated risk of wildfire spread across most of central Pennsylvania. The ongoing dry spell combined with minimum relative humidity values around 30 percent this afternoon and wind gusts from the northwest between 20 and 30 mph will all contribute to the elevated risk of wildfire spread. Residents are urged to exercise caution if handling any potential ignition sources, such as machinery, cigarettes, or matches. If dry grasses and tree litter begin to burn, the fire will have the potential to spread rapidly. Artifacts Removed From Museum
Due to leaks and humidity issues, most of the historic artifacts have been taken off exhibit to protect them until these issues have been resolved. Exhibit area is still open including text panels, maps, and hands-on-exhibits.
Sherrick Farm Trail Detour
There is a detour on the trail due to downed trees. Our staff is working diligently to remove these from the trail.
