About

Sycamore Cabin provides a unique lodging experience in Prescott National Forest, constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1938. Originally serving as a residence for the district ranger and later as housing for fire crews, the cabin now accommodates up to eight guests in a remote setting along Sycamore Creek. The cabin sits at an elevation of 4,000 feet and enjoys moderate temperatures year-round. Its location on the edge of Sycamore Creek provides immediate access to a unique riparian area teeming with wildlife including mule deer, javelina, black bears, mountain lions, and numerous bird species. Anglers can fish nearby streams and rivers for rainbow trout, channel catfish, and bullhead, while hikers can explore local trails including a section of the Great Western Trail. The cabin sleeps six inside with the option to bring an RV for two additional guests. The area's rich history includes Native American heritage and mining industry remnants. Access is via Forest Service Road 68 and 68F, approximately 80 miles north of Phoenix.
