About

Eagle Ridge Group Campground sits within a tall ponderosa pine forest of Prescott National Forest in the Bradshaw Mountains. At an elevation of 5,700 feet, the campground offers pleasant summer temperatures and cool breezes, making it a popular escape from the Phoenix heat. The facility features two group sites: the Osprey site accommodates 50-75 people, while the Peregrine site accommodates up to 25 people. Both sites include picnic tables, fire pits, BBQ grills, a picnic shelter, and electric outlets with lights. Lynx Lake, just a quarter-mile away, is a popular 55-acre fishing destination stocked with crappie, trout, bluegill, bass, and catfish. A boat ramp is available for boats with motors under 10 horsepower. Swimming and wading are not permitted, but the Lynx Lake Marina offers canoe, kayak, paddle boat, and electric row boat rentals. An easy, family-friendly two-mile trail loops around the lake, and the area provides numerous trails for hiking and mountain biking. The Bradshaw Mountains are known for their mining history, and visitors can still pan for gold in Lynx Creek. Wildlife in the area includes osprey, coyote, deer, javelina, squirrel, fox, badger, and mountain lion. The area experiences a monsoon season from late June through mid-September with possible afternoon thunderstorms.
