About
Wolverine ATV Trailhead Campground is a small established campground located just a few miles off the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, approximately 35 miles from Evanston, Wyoming. The campground features 6 primitive campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. A vault toilet is available on-site. The campground is situated among a thin forest of pine and aspen trees that provide limited shade, with summer wildflowers and grasses dotting the landscape.
The location offers quick access to a network of ATV trails and off-road vehicle adventures. Christmas Meadows Trail for hiking and horseback riding begins a few miles away, and numerous additional trails crisscross the region for biking, horseback riding, and off-road vehicle use. Fly-fishing for cutthroat and brook trout is popular on the nearby Stillwater Fork. The Mirror Lake Scenic Byway provides access to countless high alpine lakes, streams, scenic viewpoints, and the High Uintas Wilderness.
This is a dry camp facility with no water available. Campers must bring all water needed for their stay, including drinking water. Access requires traveling on unpaved, rocky forest roads that are not recommended for small cars. The site has a maximum occupancy of 8 people per site and a 2-night minimum stay on weekends, with a 3-night minimum on holiday weekends. Pets are allowed on a leash not exceeding 6 feet, with a maximum of 2 dogs per site.
Directions
From Evanston, Wyoming, take WY-150 south for 22.5 miles. Continue onto UT-150 south for 8.8 miles. Take a slight left onto Christmas Meadows Road. Turn left onto Forest Road 131, then in 59 feet take a slight right onto Forest Road 130. Continue straight for 0.6 miles onto Forest Road 301B, then continue straight for 0.9 miles onto Forest Road 323. The campground will be on the right. The access road is long, unpaved, and rocky, not recommended for small cars.
