Stillwater Campground is located 32 miles south of Evanston, Wyoming along Highway 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway) in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. At 8,500 feet elevation, the campground sits at the confluence of Stillwater Fork and Hayden Fork among a thin forest of pine and aspen trees with summer wildflowers dotting the landscape. The campground features 21 single-family sites with a capacity of 8 people each, plus four group sites (three accommodating 50 people and one accommodating 25 people). All sites include picnic tables, and group sites have large campfire circles. Vault toilets, potable drinking water, and trash collection are provided. A day-use picnic area is located at the end of the campground road. Fly-fishing for cutthroat and brook trout is extremely popular on both the Stillwater and Hayden Forks just outside the campground. The area offers access to numerous hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails, with the High Uintas Wilderness accessible from several trailheads along the byway.

Directions

From Evanston, Wyoming, take Highway 150 south for 32 miles. Stillwater Campground is on the east side of the highway. From Kamas, Utah, take Center Street east (becomes Highway 150/Mirror Lake Scenic Byway) and travel about 46 miles. The campground is on the east side of the highway.
