Closed — Closed for the season due to snow. Mirror Lake Highway typically reopens in late May and the campground operates through fall. Reservations available through Recreation.gov when open.

About

Christmas Meadows Campground is located just a few miles off the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, 36 miles from Evanston, Wyoming, at an elevation of 8,800 feet. The campground sits on a knoll overlooking Stillwater Fork and the beautiful Christmas Meadows, with most campsites offering views of the meadows below. A thin forest of lodgepole pine and aspen trees covers the campground, providing limited shade, and summer wildflowers dot the landscape. The campground features 11 single sites with a capacity of 8 people per site. Each site accommodates one vehicle, with additional day-use parking and extra vehicle fees available. The Christmas Meadows Trail begins just outside the campground, providing excellent opportunities for hiking and horseback riding. Stillwater Fork, accessible just outside the campground, offers fly-fishing for cutthroat and brook trout. The Mirror Lake Scenic Byway provides access to numerous additional trails for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and off-road vehicles throughout the Uinta Mountains.

Directions

From Evanston, Wyoming, take Highway 150 south for 32 miles. Turn east on Christmas Meadows Road and travel 4 miles to the end of the road and the campground.
