About

Wolverine ATV Trailhead Campground sits at the gateway to the Wolverine ATV trail system in Utah's Uinta Mountains. The 6-site campground is reached via a long, rocky unpaved road off Forest Road 323 near Christmas Meadows. Each campsite includes a fire ring and picnic table, with a vault toilet facility serving the campground. No potable water is available, so campers must bring all water needed. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out facility. The campground caters primarily to ATV enthusiasts with quick trail access, though hikers and anglers also use the area. Christmas Meadows Trail for hiking and horseback riding begins a few miles away. Stillwater Fork offers fly-fishing for cutthroat and brook trout. The High Uintas Wilderness can be accessed from several trails in the region. The byway cuts through the Uinta Mountains, which are known for alpine lakes, streams, and abundant recreation. Summer wildflowers and grasses dot the landscape around the campground. ATVs are not allowed on the highway unless licensed.
