About
Shingle Creek ATV Campground is located on the scenic Mirror Lake Byway (State Route 150) in the Uinta Mountains of northeastern Utah, approximately 9.6 miles east of Kamas. The campground sits at an elevation of 7,400 feet among dense stands of pines and aspens that provide pleasant shade in summer and brilliant fall color. This campground is specifically designed for ATV enthusiasts, with two ATV trails departing directly from the campground. The surrounding area offers extensive opportunities for off-road riding, hiking, biking, and horseback riding on trails including the North Fork and Shingle Creek Trails. The Lower Provo River is nearby for trout fishing. The 21 single sites are primitive with no hookups or potable water. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table. Vault toilets are located throughout the campground. Campers must bring all water needed for their stay and should be prepared for bear country with proper food storage.
Directions
From Kamas, UT, at the intersection of State Route 32 (Main St.) and State Route 150 (Center St.), take Route 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway) east 9.6 miles to the campground sign. Turn right into the campground.
