About
Mill Hollow Campground is situated on a hillside just below Mill Hollow Reservoir at an elevation of 8,800 feet in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The campground offers 27 single sites nestled within a dense forest of aspen, fir, and lodgepole pine that provides plentiful shade. The area is abundant with wildlife and summer wildflowers. Mill Hollow Reservoir offers excellent rainbow and albino rainbow trout fishing, along with opportunities for canoeing and kayaking on the small reservoir. Hiking enthusiasts can explore the 1-mile Lakeshore Trail and 3-mile Mill Hollow Trail, with trailheads conveniently located within the campground. Other popular activities include bird watching, horseshoe pitching, and wildlife viewing. Soapstone Basin, located just 8 miles north of the campground, provides miles of designated dirt trails for off-road vehicle enthusiasts and mountain bikers, plus excellent birding opportunities. The campground features gravel roads and parking spurs, with each site equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Vault toilets and potable water are available during the operating season. The campground has a 7-day stay limit and requires a 2-day minimum stay on weekends and 3-day minimum on holiday weekends.
Directions
From Woodland, Utah, travel 12 miles southeast on State Highway 35. Turn onto Forest Road 054 and travel 2.8 miles to the campground entrance.
