About

Lower Provo Campground is located just off the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway (State Route 150) in the Uinta Mountains of northeastern Utah. Situated at 7,400 feet elevation among dense stands of pines and aspens, the campground provides a shaded, scenic base for exploring the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The Lower Provo River runs adjacent to the campground, offering good trout fishing opportunities. The campground has 10 single campsites, each accommodating up to 8 people with one vehicle. All sites are back-in configuration with a maximum vehicle length of 40 feet. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table. Vault toilets are available during the open season, but there is no potable water on-site, so campers must bring their own water supply. No hookups are available. Popular recreation activities include river fishing, hiking, and mountain biking. Nearby trails include North Fork and Shingle Creek Trails. Off-road vehicle trails are in the vicinity, though ATVs and horses are prohibited within the campground itself. The campground enforces a 7-day stay limit and quiet hours from 10pm to 6am.

Directions
