About

Located in northern Utah approximately 45 miles east of Salt Lake City, Rockport State Park sits on the shores of Rockport Reservoir, offering year-round outdoor recreation. The park features five distinct campgrounds providing a mix of developed and primitive camping experiences to accommodate both tent and RV campers. The Juniper Loop is the most developed area, offering 23 sites with electric and water hookups suitable for RVs. During summer months, the reservoir becomes a hub for water-based activities including fishing, boating, water skiing, and paddling. The park also features a unique 3D archery range with full-size animal targets. Winter transforms the park into an ice fishing destination with access to nearby snowmobile trails. Additional amenities include modern restroom facilities with hot showers, a dump station, drinking water, and a boat launch. The park maintains 16-hour daily access with gates open from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. year-round. With its proximity to Salt Lake City and Park City, Rockport State Park serves as an accessible destination for both weekend getaways and extended stays. The variety of camping options, from full-hookup RV sites to primitive settings, makes it suitable for all camping preferences.
