Rock Cliff Area at Jordanelle State Park provides a unique tent camping experience on the eastern shore of Jordanelle Reservoir. The campground features 48 walk-in tent sites distributed across three loops: Riverbed, Aspen Grove, and Upland Meadow. Set within a beautiful cottonwood and aspen forest along the Upper Provo River, the campground offers visitors an intimate connection with nature in a protected riparian environment. The walk-in design helps preserve the delicate ecosystem while providing quality camping opportunities. Six sites are ADA-accessible with closer parking access. Campers can explore the Rock Cliff Nature Center, which features educational displays about the park's plant and animal life, and offers Junior Ranger and nature programs on weekends during the peak season. The area also provides access to hiking trails, including the Three Rocks Trail and sections of the Jordanelle perimeter trail. Rock Cliff Area offers a quieter, more nature-focused experience compared to the developed Hailstone Recreation Area on the opposite side of the reservoir. The campground is located just minutes from Park City and provides easy access to world-class skiing, shopping, and cultural attractions, while maintaining a peaceful, forested setting perfect for tent campers seeking solitude.
