About

Wasatch Mountain State Park is Utah's most developed state park, nestled in the Heber Valley on the back side of Mount Timpanogos. The park spans over 22,000 acres and serves as a base camp for exploring the surrounding Wasatch Mountains and Uinta National Forest. The park features several distinct camping areas. Pine Creek Campground offers Cottonwood, Mahogany, and Oak Hollow loops with modern amenities including full hookups, partial hookups, modern restrooms, and hot showers. Soldier Hollow, located about 6 miles from Pine Creek near the 2002 Winter Olympics cross-country venue, provides full-hookup sites year-round including winter RV camping. For those seeking a primitive experience, Little Deer Creek Campground offers 16 small tent sites and one group site. Beyond camping, the park is home to four 18-hole golf courses, extensive trail systems for hiking and mountain biking, and the Wasatch Mountain Sauna for post-adventure relaxation. The visitor center is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM.
