About
Echo State Park encompasses the beautiful Echo Reservoir in northeastern Utah's mountains near Coalville, providing a range of camping experiences from developed sites to primitive shoreline camping. Dry Hollow Campground offers sites with water and 20/30/50-amp electric hookups, shelters, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site, along with restrooms with showers. Red Rock Marina Campground features five full-hookup sites with water, sewer, and electric, positioned near the marina for convenient lake access. The park also offers primitive beach camping along the reservoir shoreline for $25/night when water levels drop to approximately 80% capacity, typically from July through October. Beach camping is tent-only with no hookups and fires are prohibited. Five lake cottages are available year-round for those seeking more comfortable accommodations. Echo Reservoir spans 1,394 surface acres and supports year-round fishing for trout and perch, along with boating, wakeboarding, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Watercraft and bike rentals are available through the general store. The park is easily accessible from Salt Lake City, Park City, and Ogden via Interstate 80.
