About

Nestled in the scenic mountains of northeastern Utah just off Interstate 80, Echo State Park sits along the historic Echo Reservoir, originally constructed by the Bureau of Reclamation during the Great Depression. The park has evolved from local recreation concessions in the 1960s to a modern state park offering year-round outdoor experiences. The park features two main camping areas: Dry Hollow Campground with 18 partial hookup sites, and Red Rock Marina Campground with 6 full hookup sites. Five lake cottages are available year-round for visitors seeking a more comfortable stay. The Bison Run Group Campground accommodates up to 50 people. Most sites feature pull-through or back-in access, making it convenient for RVs and trailers. Echo Reservoir spans 1,394 surface acres and welcomes both motorized and non-motorized watercraft. Anglers can fish year-round for trout, perch, and bass. The park offers easy beach access, picnic areas, and scenic views of the surrounding canyon. Winter brings opportunities for ice fishing when conditions permit. The park's location near historic Echo Canyon, the Union Pacific Rail Trail, and proximity to Park City make it an ideal base for exploring the region.
