About

Potato Patch Campground is a developed Forest Service campground nestled in the pines and firs along Deer Creek in Lassen National Forest. At 3,400 feet elevation, it provides a refreshing escape from the heat of California's Central Valley. The campground features 32 designated sites, some of which accommodate RVs and others that are ADA accessible. Each site comes equipped with a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. Vault toilets and potable water from faucets are available throughout the campground. Deer Creek runs alongside the campground and offers excellent trout fishing, though special fishing regulations apply to the creek. The campground enforces a maximum of 8 people and 2 vehicles per site, with very limited overflow parking. Pets are welcome but must remain leashed. Quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and off-highway vehicles and fireworks are prohibited.
