Alder Creek Campground sits along the banks of Deer Creek in Lassen National Forest, approximately 20 miles southwest of Chester on Highway 32. This semi-developed campground features just 6 designated sites, making it a quiet escape for campers seeking solitude. The creek offers opportunities for fishing and scenic enjoyment. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings at each site. There is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Sites accommodate up to 1 vehicle and 8 persons each. Dogs are welcome but must remain leashed at all times. Quiet hours are enforced from 10pm to 6am. Off-highway vehicles and fireworks are prohibited. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system. Fees must be paid in cash or check upon arrival.

Directions

From Chico, travel east for 46 miles on Highway 32. The campground is located approximately 20 miles southwest of Chester.
