About
Butte Meadows Campground is a developed Forest Service campground situated along Butte Creek within the community of Butte Meadows in Lassen National Forest. The campground features 13 designated campsites at 4,300 feet elevation, each equipped with a picnic table, metal fire ring, and parking for at least one vehicle. Some sites can accommodate two vehicles. The campground is conveniently located off Humboldt Road next to the Forest Service Station. Visitors to Butte Meadows enjoy a variety of recreational opportunities including fishing in Butte Creek, exploring local roads and trails for biking and hiking, hunting, and simply relaxing in the peaceful mountain setting. The campground provides potable water from faucets and vault toilets. With its combination of developed amenities and proximity to the surrounding forest, Butte Meadows serves as an excellent base camp for exploring the Almanor Ranger District. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with sites available for $12 per night. Interagency Senior and Access passes receive a 50% discount. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and all pets must remain on leash. Each site can accommodate up to 8 people and 2 vehicles.
