Butte Meadows Campground sits along scenic Butte Creek in the southern portion of Lassen National Forest at 4,300 feet elevation. This developed Forest Service campground offers 13 designated campsites in a forested mountain setting within the small community of Butte Meadows. Each site includes a picnic table, metal fire ring, and parking for up to two vehicles. The campground provides basic amenities including potable water from faucets and vault toilets. Sites accommodate up to 8 people and 2 vehicles each. Quiet hours are observed from 10pm to 6am. Campfires are permitted only in the provided metal fire rings, and pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Popular activities include fishing in Butte Creek, exploring nearby forest roads and trails, hunting in season, and enjoying the peaceful mountain scenery. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations available.
