About

Lost Creek Campground is located just off the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway on the shores of Lost Lake at an elevation of 9,900 feet in the Uinta Mountains. The campground features 34 sites including standard tent sites, RV sites without hookups, and yurt rentals, all nestled within a dense forest of Engelmann spruce and lodgepole pine. Paved roads and parking spurs provide easy access, and amenities include vault toilets, drinking water at a filling station near the entrance, picnic tables, campfire rings, trash collection, and firewood available for purchase from the camp host. Lost Lake offers excellent rainbow trout fishing and is open only to non-motorized watercraft including canoes and kayaks. The Crystal Lake and Bald Mountain trails begin nearby, and the High Uintas Wilderness can be accessed from several trailheads along the byway. Mirror Lake Campground, just up the road, offers weekend amphitheater programs. This is bear country, so strict food and trash storage is required. Quiet hours are 10pm to 6am, and generators are prohibited after 10pm. Gates are open 7am to 10pm. A maximum of 8 people and 2 dogs (leashed) are allowed per single site.

Directions

From Salt Lake City, take I-80 east approximately 30 miles to Exit 146 for Highway 40. Go south on Highway 40 for approximately 13 miles and turn left onto UT Highway 32. Continue on UT-32 for 16 miles through Francis. Turn right onto Highway 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway) in Kamas. Go 27 miles to the campground.
