About
Lilly Lake Campground is a high-elevation destination at 10,000 feet along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. The campground offers 14 single sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring, set among a dense forest of Engelmann spruce and lodgepole pine. Summer wildflowers dot the landscape, and temperatures typically range from 65-75 degrees during the day to 40-50 degrees at night.
The campground provides access to three nearby alpine lakes: Lilly Lake, Lost Lake, and Teapot Lake. Fishing and canoeing are popular activities, though motorized boats are prohibited. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water on site, so campers must bring their own supply. Trash is pack-it-out.
Access is via the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway (State Route 150), which climbs to 10,687 feet at Bald Mountain Pass before descending past Mirror Lake. The byway closes seasonally due to snow, typically reopening in late spring or early summer depending on conditions.
Directions
From Kamas, UT, at the intersection of State Route 32 (Main St.) and State Route 150 (Center St.), take Route 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway) east 27 miles to the campground sign. Turn left into the campground.
