About
Lilly Lake Campground is located at 10,000 feet elevation along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway in the Uinta Mountains, positioned on the shores of Lost Lake. The campground offers 14 paved single campsites nestled in a dense forest of Engelmann spruce and lodgepole pine that provides ample shade throughout the day. Summer wildflowers dot the landscape, and the area is known for its abundant recreational opportunities and scenic mountain beauty.
The campground provides access to three alpine lakes: Lilly Lake, Lost Lake, and Teapot Lake, all excellent destinations for fishing, hiking, and non-motorized boating. The Mirror Lake Scenic Byway cuts through the Wasatch-Cache National Forest, offering numerous access points to wilderness areas and paralleling the Provo River for much of its route. Summer temperatures range from 65-75 degrees during the day to 40-50 degrees at night, making it an ideal escape from summer heat.
This is a seasonal campground accessible only when the Mirror Lake Highway is open. The high elevation means heavy snow accumulation closes the byway from late fall through late spring. Motorized boats and ATVs are prohibited, and there is a 7-day stay limit. The campground is operated by a concessionaire and reservations are available through Recreation.gov.
