Mirror Lake Campground is a high-alpine destination at 10,400 feet elevation in Utah's Uinta Mountains, located directly on the shores of its namesake lake along the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway. The campground features 78 sites including single, double, and triple configurations, with sites 65-79 specifically equipped for equestrian use with hitching rails and feeding boxes. Each site includes a picnic table, tent pad, and fire ring with grill. Vault toilets and trash collection are provided throughout. The campground serves as a gateway to exceptional recreation. Mirror Lake supports non-motorized boating and fishing for rainbow trout. A gravel-surfaced interpretive trail circles the lake with educational displays about local flora and fauna. Multiple trailheads provide access to the High Uintas Wilderness, including the Fehr Lake Trail starting just outside the campground and connections to the Highline Trail system leading to Bonnie Lake, Scudder Lake, and Naturalist Basin. Bald Mountain (11,943 feet) rises directly above the campground. The campground operates seasonally from late June through early fall, weather permitting. Summer temperatures range from 65-75 degrees during the day to 40-50 degrees at night. A 7-day stay limit applies. Motorized boats and ATVs are prohibited. The nearest phone is 16 miles away.

Directions

From Salt Lake City, take I-80 east for 30 miles to Highway 40. Go south on Highway 40 for approximately 13 miles and turn left onto UT Highway 32. Stay on UT-32 for 16 miles through Francis to Kamas. Turn right onto Highway 150 (Mirror Lake Scenic Byway) and travel 32 miles to the campground.
