About
Little Lyman Lake Campground is a small, rustic campground nestled at 9,200 feet in the Uinta Mountain range within the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Located on the shore of five-acre Little Lyman Lake, the campground offers 10 single sites, most with lake views and natural shade from surrounding conifers. The tranquil setting is ideal for anglers targeting the lake's fish population and for those seeking a quieter high-country camping experience.
Each site accommodates up to 8 people and includes a fire ring and picnic table. Vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water on site, so campers must bring all drinking water. The campground is bear country, requiring secure food storage. Nearby recreation includes hiking trails, backpacking routes into the High Uintas Wilderness, ATV and equestrian trails, and additional fishing at nearby Lyman Lake.
Access requires navigating a series of forest roads from Mountain View, Wyoming, with the final approach on Forest Road 070. The remote location and primitive facilities appeal to experienced campers seeking solitude in a spectacular alpine environment.
