About

Greens Creek Boat-In Campground is a primitive, boat-access-only campground situated on the McCloud Arm of Shasta Lake within the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. As one of four boat-in campgrounds on the lake, it provides a quieter alternative to the developed drive-in campgrounds for visitors seeking solitude and a more remote camping experience. The campground features vault toilets, picnic tables, and bear boxes. There is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply or filter water from the lake. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out facility with no trash service. No fee is required to camp here. Access is by boat only, with the closest launch being Hirz Bay boat ramp. Lake levels can affect accessibility to the shoreline campsites. The campground is open 24 hours a day, with most Shasta Lake recreation sites typically operating from mid-May through mid-September, though access may vary with conditions.

Directions
