About

East Davis Campground is located on the east side of Odell Creek where it enters Davis Lake in the Deschutes National Forest. The campground offers 19 standard non-electric sites suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs. Each site includes a picnic table and campfire ring with grill. Vault toilets are provided, and drinking water is typically available from a hand pump when the water system is operational. Davis Lake is one of the most popular fly-fishing-only lakes in the Pacific Northwest, known for producing trophy-size rainbow trout and largemouth bass. The lake has a speed restriction for boats. Beyond fishing, the area is one of central Oregon's most productive wildlife habitats, offering excellent bird watching, wildflower viewing, and access to a nearby lava flow with superb views of Cascade peaks. The campground is mostly covered with pine trees, though a burned area from a past wildfire exists nearby. Visitors can explore the surrounding wilderness areas, rivers, lakes, and approximately 1,600 miles of trails within the Deschutes National Forest. The Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway and Newberry National Volcanic Monument are popular nearby attractions.
