About

Simax Group Campground occupies a prime position on the northeast shore of Crescent Lake, a naturally glaciated alpine lake known for its exceptional blue-green water and sandy beaches. The campground sits within a forest of towering lodgepole pine, mountain hemlock, fir, and spruce trees typical of the central Oregon Cascades. The campground was designed from the ground up for full accessibility, featuring paved roads and spurs, designated tent pads at each site, and an accessible trail system. Four group sites (A, B, C, and D) each accommodate up to 40 people, while a large pavilion handles groups up to 50. Site A is better suited to tent camping, with 8 designated tent pads and limited RV parking. Recreation centers on Crescent Lake, where visitors enjoy water skiing, sailing, windsurfing, and swimming. Anglers target kokanee salmon, mackinaw, rainbow and brown trout, and mountain whitefish. The Fawn Lake Trail departs nearby, offering a 4.7-mile hike through mixed conifer forest to views of Redtop and Lakeview Mountains. A resort on Crescent Lake provides lodging, a general store, and equipment rentals.
