About

North Davis Creek Campground is located on the western arm of Wickiup Reservoir in the Deschutes National Forest, situated near remnants of past lava flows beneath a mixed conifer canopy. The campground offers 14 standard nonelectric sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Vault toilets and drinking water from a hand pump are available. The reservoir provides excellent fishing opportunities for brown trout, kokanee and Coho salmon, rainbow trout, brook trout, whitefish, and chub. Visitors also enjoy boating, canoeing, swimming, and wildlife viewing. A boat launch is located within the campground, though it becomes inaccessible in autumn when water levels drop. Nearby attractions include Newberry National Volcanic Monument approximately 45 minutes away, where visitors can explore Lava River Cave, the longest continuous lava tube in Oregon. The Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway climbs 66 miles through the Cascade Range past snow-capped peaks and alpine lakes.
